Newcomers

Sacred Heart is a personal parish of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend entrusted to the Priestly
Fraternity of Saint Peter, a society of apostolic life of pontifical right.

If this is your first time experiencing the traditional forms of the liturgy, welcome. You should not feel
out of place. If you are a member of the Roman rite, this liturgy belongs to you.

Latin/English missals are available in the pews. Simply follow those around you for indications as to
when to stand, sit, and kneel.

In the Traditional Latin Rite, Holy Communion is received on the tongue while kneeling at the altar rail.
Please place your hands under the communion cloth.

Please approach the Real Presence of Our Lord with fitting demeanor and dress. Out of respect for God
and your neighbor, kindly refrain from wearing form-fitting or revealing clothing, shorts or tee-shirts.
Ensure that shoulders are covered and skirts are at least knee length.

If you wish to become a member of the parish complete a registration form. If you are not Catholic but
are interested in entering the Catholic Church, please contact the pastor. Personalized instruction is
given on an as-needed basis.

We invite you to become a member of Sacred Heart Parish and look forward to seeing you at Mass.
