CREDO (continued)   (Taken from Notes Made at the Conferences of Dom Prosper Guéranger).   Confiteor unum baptisma in remissionem peccatorum: I confess one Baptism for the remission of sins. The word Confiteor signifies here I acknowledge. But why does Holy Church oblige us to confess so expressly one only Baptism: Confiteor unum baptisma? Because she is bent on proclaiming that there is but one mode of spiritual birth, and, according to the words of the Apostle to the Ephesians, that there is but one only Baptism, as there is but one only God, and one only Faith: Unus Dominus, una fides, unum baptisma (Ephes. iv. 5).  Baptism makes us become children of God, at the same time giving us sanctifying grace, by which the Holy Ghost comes to dwell within us. And when, by mortal sin, man has the misfortune to lose this grace, Absolution, reconciling him to God, gives back to him this grace of Baptism, this primordial sanctification, and not another; so strong is this first grace. Baptism derives all its power from the Water which flowed from Our Lord’s side, and which hence became for us the very Principle of Life; therefore Our Lord did truly bring us forth; and this is the one only Baptism which we must confess and acknowledge.

First Friday-First Saturday Just a reminder this week will be the First Friday and First Saturday of the month. Our Lord has asked that we make 9 First Fridays in reparation for sin. He has given 12 promises for those who make the 9 First Fridays. The Blessed Mother has requested we make the 5 First Saturdays also in reparation for sin. The reward for fulfilling these requests is far greater than the effort to complete these devotions. Please join us. Friday, Confessions 5:30 pm. Mass at 6 pm, followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Sacred Heart devotions and Benediction. Saturday - Rosary 8:25 am. Confessions 8:30 and Mass at 9 am.
S
Monday, May 29 -- Mass at 9 AM     Due to the secular holiday, Mass will be at 9 AM on Monday, May 29th.
Communion Cloths By now everyone has probably noticed the cloths that have been attached to the communion rail. These cloths are in fact called for by the    rubrics, and provide an added measure of protection for the Blessed Sacrament. The proper way to make use of them is to put your hands underneath the cloth. You may raise the cloth slightly, or you can simply not touch it at all, but in any case your hands must not rest on top of it. Please do not wipe your face or hands with the cloth, as it is not intended for this purpose.
The Rosary Sodality - Saturday, May 6th      The Ladies’ Rosary Sodality will meet this Saturday, May 6th after the 9:00 am Mass. All women of the parish are welcome to join, ages 18 and up. Please join in helping our parish with various necessary things such as care and maintenance of the sacred linens and vestments used at Mass, coordinating funeral luncheons, seasonal decoration of the church, acquiring things needed for the church and much more.  No prior experience is necessary.
Scrip   Scrip is a very easy way to help the parish financially without increasing your Sunday contribution.  Please take a look at the order forms to see if there are   vendors that you frequent. If so, just fill in the amount you would like to purchase. You will receive a gift card back that can be used any time and   never expires. Please submit the form with a check by dropping it in the collection basket. For any questions call the office at 260-744-2519. All orders must be prepaid and will be placed on Monday of each week. Due to processing costs, in order to make a few dollars we have to have a combined total of all orders come to $400 or more.  Your small order can help to reach this threshold.
Special Collection There will be a special collection next Sunday, June 4th for Seminary Education. The annual Pentecost special collection helps fund the education of diocesan seminarians.  Please use your special collection  envelope, or feel free to donate online at the diocesan website, diocesefwsb.org. At the top of the Envelope please mark what  the collection is for along with your name. Thank You!
