ALL PUBLIC MASSES REMAIN CANCELED — MASSES WITH THE STATED INTENTIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE CELEBRATED PRIVATELY.   CHURCH IS KEPT OPEN FROM 7 AM TO 6 PM SUNDAYS   Any sacraments (confession, communion) can be requested and the church will also be unlocked by request for private prayer (please contact the emergency number on the front of the bulletin — text message is preferred).      MAJOR DEVELOPMENT We have received word from the bishop that public Masses may resume on May 23.  People remain dispensed from the Sunday obligation until August 15.   UPDATE ON SHUTDOWN It appears that there is no prohibition against some of the parish groups resuming activity, as they are small enough in size, specifically the young ladies’ group, the women’s group, and the Militia of St. Joseph.  Because of its large number of participants, the Troops of St. George will have to wait until May 24 to resume operation according the plan devised by the state.   The Kroger Community Rewards Program has earned Sacred Heart $130.70 for the last quarter, with 37 households participating.   If you have not already done so, please register your card by visiting krogercommunityrewards.com and following the simple instructions, your Kroger purchases will begin to benefit the parish, with a small percent of what you spend being returned to the parish quarterly. Our organization number is TP793, Sacred Heart Church, Fort Wayne, Indiana. This costs neither you nor the parish anything. MILITIA OF ST. JOSEPH Terror of Demons - Are you tired of lukewarmness, restlessness and mediocrity in your life? Want to RADICALLY deepen your faith - taking your life to the NEXT LEVEL? Step up your game with other like-minded devout Catholic men looking for MORE — striving for SAINTHOOD daily together, as we grow fervently in devotion while waging spiritual combat under the banner of St. Joseph the Terror of Demons! As Christ told us in Matthew 7:14, the path to Salvation is narrow and hard, and FEW find it. The stakes are too high to pin eternity on anything less than 100% effort. Come to our monthly meeting on the third Friday of the month at Sacred Heart! Holy Mass at 6pm followed by food & meeting 6:30-8:30. For details and RSVP visit: www.MilitiaSJ.com or text 260-619-1373.   Handmaids of St. Joseph Women’s Group – Meets on the 3rd Wednesday of Every month The next meeting for the women’s group is Wednesday, Oct. 16.  This group is open to women of all states in life – single, married, widowed – 16 years of age on up.
